About My Work

Over the course of my career, I’ve had the opportunity to serve in many different settings—child welfare, schools, hospitals, higher education, and even alongside the Office of the District Attorney. Each experience has helped me better understand how people move through systems, carry burdens, and seek hope. I’ve also spent time as a university professor, walking alongside future social workers as they learn to serve with both skill and heart.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and hold Educational Specialist II certifications in School Social Work and Home and School Visiting (PK–12) through the Pennsylvania Department of Education. I also earned my Home/School Visitor certification through Widener University’s Department of Social Work.

My Approach to Counseling

I believe healing happens in partnership. Together, we’ll build a safe and supportive space to explore what’s at the heart of your struggles—whether that includes anxiety, grief, trauma, or just the weight of daily life. My own journey through personal loss has taught me to walk with gentleness, empathy, and hope. In our sessions, I’ll offer both compassion and practical support to help you move toward insight, resilience, and renewal.

Areas I Support

I work with adults and couples navigating a variety of challenges, including:

  • Relationship issues, communication struggles, and marital conflict

  • Grief, loss, and life after bereavement

  • Recovery from trauma, including emotional, physical, and spiritual wounds

  • Anxiety, depression, and the weight of persistent stress

  • Separation, divorce, and difficult life transitions

  • Identity, self-worth, and the desire for deeper personal growth

What You Can Expect

Our time together is a judgment-free space where you can bring your whole self. I strive to be down-to-earth and collaborative, offering a therapeutic experience that honors your voice, your story, and your pace. Whether you’re in a season of rebuilding, discovery, or just need someone to walk beside you, I’m here to support that journey.

Where I Practice

I see clients both in-person at our Quarryville/Southern Lancaster office and virtually for anyone in Pennsylvania.

A Bit About Me

I’m a Lancaster County native and a member of the Critical Incident Stress Management Team for our region. When I’m not counseling, I enjoy traveling, playing the piano, and spending time with my family.

Your Story, Your Beliefs

At New Hope, we recognize that each person’s story is unique—and so is their worldview. Some clients find strength in exploring spiritual or existential themes, while others prefer a fully secular approach. We welcome both. Your counselor will collaborate with you to explore what matters most in your healing and growth journey, honoring the beliefs and values that are meaningful to you.
