The Heart Behind the Closet

Kristy Haefner

Store Manager

As Store Manager of New Hope’s Community Closet Thrift Store, Kristy brings fresh energy and vision to every corner of the shop. With a strong background in nonprofit leadership, higher education, and team management, she’s excited to lead the store into its next chapter of growth and community impact.

Born and raised in Lancaster County, Kristy is a proud single mom of three and a grandmother to one. She’s currently pursuing her Doctorate in Business Administration—an impressive endeavor she balances alongside her work and family life. Whether she’s brainstorming ways to improve the shopping experience or offering encouragement to those who walk through the door, Kristy’s leadership is fueled by purpose and heart.

In her free time, you’ll find her reading, playing games with her kids, or attending Bible study with her church group. She also leads a local moms’ group that offers connection, advice, and the kind of listening ear we all need. Her guiding belief? God will always put you where you belong—so make the most of every assignment He gives you.

Becky Schick

Assistant Manager

As Assistant Manager of New Hope’s Community Closet Thrift Shop, Becky finds joy in helping others discover items they need and giving old treasures new, appreciative homes.

A lifelong artist who loves working across nearly every medium, Becky draws inspiration from children’s laughter, vintage toys, patinas, etymology, and clouds—just to name a few. She’s the proud wife of Steve and a homeschool mama to six (with three graduates so far!). When she’s not at the shop, you’ll likely find her gathered around a Euro-style board game or off exploring a national park with her crew.

Becky grew up in the pizza business, where she learned to thrive in environments full of variety, unpredictability, and people—just like the world of thrift! She loves seeing God’s hand at work in the day-to-day and considers it a gift to serve in a place where faith, creativity, and community come together.

Brianna Casper

Store Associate

Brianna feels deeply grateful and blessed to be part of the New Hope Community Closet family. Since moving to Southern Lancaster County in 2021, she has been continually inspired by the warmth and kindness of the community—where a smile so often meets a smile.

As a devoted mother of two, Brianna treasures the opportunity to nurture and teach her children the values of growth, kindness, respect, and the transforming power of God’s grace and love.

Outside of work, she enjoys writing, photography, crocheting, and graphic design. She also finds joy in sharing fellowship with family and friends—living out her faith in both quiet moments and everyday connections.
