School Counselor
Make a Difference in the Lives of Local Students — Join Our Counseling Team
New Hope Counseling Center in Quarryville, PA, is seeking a compassionate and experienced School-Based Counselor to provide professional counseling services to students in a local school setting throughout the academic year.
This is a contract position, with school-based counseling sessions scheduled on Thursdays and Fridays each week during the school year. The counselor will walk alongside students navigating emotional, relational, family, academic, and other life challenges while working collaboratively with New Hope and school personnel to support student well-being.
For a counselor interested in expanding their work beyond the school setting, there is also an opportunity to develop an additional caseload at New Hope Counseling Center Monday through Wednesday, with daytime and/or evening availability. Depending on experience and areas of practice, this caseload may include children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
The School-Based Counselor Will:
Provide individual counseling to students on Thursdays and Fridays throughout the school year
Maintain timely and professional documentation in accordance with New Hope policies and professional standards
Communicate and collaborate appropriately with school personnel, families, and New Hope leadership while maintaining professional and ethical boundaries
Participate in counselor consultation and team meetings
Remain current with professional standards, ethics, and best practices
Help create a welcoming, respectful environment for students from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences
Qualifications
Master’s degree in counseling, school counseling, or a closely related field
Pennsylvania LPC
Experience working with adolescents and/or in a school-based setting is preferred
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with school personnel and the New Hope counseling team
Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
A Christ-centered faith that informs both personal life and professional practice, expressed with humility, care, and a willingness to walk alongside people from diverse backgrounds
What New Hope Provides

Administrative support, including client intake, scheduling, and billing assistance for New Hope clients

Counseling Supervisor
Join Our Team at the Counseling Center!
New Hope Counseling Center is seeking an experienced and licensed Counseling Supervisor to provide leadership and help guide the continued growth and development of our counseling program.
This is first and foremost a leadership position. While the Counseling Supervisor will maintain a small counseling caseload, the primary focus of the role is leading our counseling center, strengthening our programs and practices, cultivating long-term community relationships, and working alongside the Executive Director to help shape the future of the Counseling Center.
The Counseling Supervisor will help us:
• Provide thoughtful leadership, supervision, and mentorship to counselors and interns
• Strengthen policies, practices, documentation, and standards of service
• Develop programs and opportunities that respond to needs within our community
• Build lasting relationships with healthcare providers, churches, schools, agencies, and other community partners
• Strengthen referral networks and identify opportunities for organizational growth
• Explore and work with our executive director to develop relationships and contracts with insurance providers
• Maintain a small caseload while remaining primarily focused on leadership and program development
We’re looking for someone who brings:
✔ Pennsylvania licensure as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist
✔ Qualifications that meet Pennsylvania requirements for supervising professional counselors
✔ Experience in supervision, mentoring, and organizational leadership
✔ Strong relationship-building, communication, and administrative skills
✔ A Christ-centered faith that informs both personal life and professional practice, expressed with humility, care, and a willingness to walk alongside people from diverse backgrounds
💰 Salary: $58,000–$68,000, commensurate with experience
